While it is often referred to as Cosmetic Acupuncture or Acupuncture Facelift, Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is more than a cosmetic procedure. It is a process designed to help the whole body look and feel younger by balancing the energy flow within. The proper flow of energy initiates the healing process for rejuvenation, thus treating the underlying cause(s) of aging, instead of masking it. Not only will putting the body into balance reverse many signs of aging but it may also slow future signs of aging.

This specialized form of Acupuncture is a method of reducing the signs of aging on the face without surgery, harsh chemical peels or tissue-deadening toxin injections. It is safe, virtually painless, has no adverse side effects and no risk of disfigurement. And, unlike surgery, which may have an extended recovery period accompanied by swelling, pain and discoloration, there is no trauma to the body. In some people, slight but temporary bruising may occur. Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is a practical and safe alternative to cosmetic surgery, at about one-fourth the cost.

    Treatments may reduce or eliminate:

  • ‣ deep wrinkles
  • ‣ bags under the eyes
  • ‣ puffiness
  • ‣ double chin
  • ‣ dry or oily skin
  • ‣ fine lines
  • ‣ sagging
  • ‣ drooping eyelids
  • ‣ large pores
  • ‣ discolorations

While Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture cannot reshape one's nose or chin, it is a natural and subtle rejuvenation which may safely take 5-15 years off one's face while enhancing overall health.

Each treatment is customized to the individual, depending on the needs of that person. It can reduce or eliminate the conditions mentioned above. Other likely results may include:

  • ‣  Moisturization of the skin through increased local circulation of blood and lymph to the face
  • ‣  Increased collagen production, muscle tone and skin elasticity
  • ‣  Tightening of pores
  • ‣  Brighter eyes
  • ‣  Improved hormonal balance, leading to a reduction or elimination of acne and stress

A complete treatment generally consists of 12 sessions. I recommend that clients have the first 6 sessions twice a week and the last 6 sessions once a week to get maximum results. A full course takes about 9 weeks to complete. The effects of treatment are cumulative and results become most noticeable and lasting on or about the seventh session. Following the initial course of treatment, intermittent maintenance sessions may prolong the results for an additional 3 to 5 years!

Please note: As in surgical facelifts, the actual outcome and how long the effects will last cannot be predicted. Each person responds differently, depending on his or her age, condition and lifestyle prior to treatment. In some exceptionally difficult cases, the course of treatments may need to be repeated.
