Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a safe and effective alternative therapy which is used to heal illnesses, strengthen resistance to disease and improve well-being. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine there are 14 meridians (pathways) which run up and down the body. When there is a problem within the body—either physical or emotional—it means that energy (Qi) "traffic" on these meridians is not running smoothly. The Acupuncture practitioner adjusts the flow of traffic by either speeding up the flow, slowing it down, or making sure that one pathway/meridian is connecting with the next.

Acupuncture is a method of inserting tiny, hair-thin needles into specific points on the body (where "traffic"flow is being affected), triggering the body's natural healing response and promoting smooth flow of energy.

These needles may be used alone or in combination with other Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques such as:

  • Acupressure/Tuina Massage
  • Cupping
  • Auriculotherapy (Ear Acupuncture)
  • Moxibustion
  • TDP Heat Therapy
  • Laser therapy
